West Virginia Fishing Map is published by Spice Lick LLC. We designed this app to require no account and to collect no personal information. This page explains what that means in practice.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking SDKs in the app.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app uses your device’s location only to display your position on the map relative to fishing spots. Your location is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is not stored.

Location permission is optional. The app works without it; you simply won’t see your position on the map.

Network requests

The app fetches public stocking data from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources’ published Google Sheets. These requests contain no personal information. Standard network metadata (such as your IP address) may be visible to Google as part of normal HTTPS traffic, but we have no access to it.

Local storage

The app caches stocking data and your favorited locations on your device so it can work offline. This data stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

Purchases and subscriptions

The app may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID. To validate your subscription status, the app uses Apple’s on-device receipt and StoreKit transaction information. We do not link purchases to any personal identifier.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
